Dave Schmitz Lead Instructor	Dave was born and raised in St. Louis and has always been into physical activities. Whether it was participating in sports in school or later working with people to improve their own health and fitness as a personal trainer. In the early nineties, Dave started to look seriously into his lifelong interest in the martial arts. Since 1994 he has been consistently training with many high level instructors and has taught many students himself. He has attended several seminars all over the country and has even made trips to Japan for training. At one seminar he had the opportunity to see a little Krav Maga from a retired Israeli soldier. Dave reached a point in his training were he felt he needed to round himself out and train in a system that was developed for and tested against more modern styles of fighting as opposed to most traditional forms. He remembered what he had learned of Krav Maga and, in 2004, had the opportunity to try it out. It was everything he had been looking for. A complete system with stand-up fighting, ground fighting, and a unique set of self defense techniques that anyone could learn and execute. He has made training in Krav Maga his main focus ever since and is dedicated to passing on his experience to others.
Steve Sulze Krav Maga\Fitness Instructor	Steve was born and raised in St. Louis, he has always been involved in sports and physical activities outside of his career in IT, he had tried a few different martial arts when he was younger but felt many of the systems were not very realistic and intense as he had wanted. He has been into weight lifting and physical training since Junior High, winning some weight lifting competitions in High School. When Steve saw the segment on the local news about Krav Maga in 2004, he went in the next day to try it out, and was hooked. It was exactly what he had been looking for to compliment lifting and an overall great workout. After training for 6 months, he was invited to start training to become a Krav Maga instructor; he is currently Phase A certifiied.

Mark Whitson FORCE Training Instructor	Mark has over 28 years of Law Enforcement experience. He is currently the supervisor of the St. Louis County Police Department’s Division of Special Operations Community Action Team. He graduated from the Greater St. Louis Police Academy, where he earned the Award for Top Recruit, in 1979 After the academy, he was assigned as a probationary officer to the South County Precinct and later worked as a patrol officer in the West County Precinct. Mark was later transferred to the Division of Criminal Investigation and worked as a Burglary detective. He eventually worked his way to an undercover position in the Bureau of Drug Enforcement. In 1990, he was detached, to continue in an undercover capacity, to the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). In 1994, Mark was reassigned to the Tactical Operations Unit, where his primary assignment was that of a negotiator. He still acts as negotiator and responds to Tactical Operation callouts. In 1997 he was promoted to his present rank. He has supervised in the North County Precinct, Communications, Metro Link Unit and Community Action Team. Mark assisted in the formation of the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT). CIT officers are trained to handle situations that involve persons with mental illness or are in a mental health crisis. He regularly assists in training CIT officers. Mark is a PPCT Defensive tactics instructor. Mark received his FORCE Training certification in April of 2006 and regularly assists with Krav Maga, boxing, and conditioning classes.
